Make Your Own AI Images: What FLUX 3 Klein Changes
On October 15, Black Forest Labs released FLUX 3 Klein. It is an AI image maker that can run on an ordinary gaming computer, instead of only in the cloud.
What it does
- Makes new images from a description
- Edits one image
- Mixes up to 10 pictures into one
- Makes pictures up to 4K size
The smaller version runs on a graphics card with 8 GB of memory. There are two versions: a base one for people who want to train it further, and a quicker one.
Speed
The company says one image takes about 4 seconds on a top card and under 9 seconds on a mid-range gaming card. Those numbers are the company's own.
Who can use it free
It is free for individuals and for companies earning under $5 million a year. Bigger companies need a license or the paid service. The paid service starts at $0.009 per 1,000 images on the quicker model.
The company also says it ranks as the best open model. That ranking comes from its own tests.
What this means for you
AI images can save time on social posts. But they do not know your brand. Before you post one:
- Check your colors and logo
- Check any text in the picture
- Have a person look at it
