Gemini 4 Argon: What Google Says It Can Do, and What It Cannot
Google released a new top AI model on October 13 called Gemini 4 Argon. Here is a plain look at what Google says about it.
What it is
It is a brand new model, not a small tweak of an older one. It can read text, pictures, sound, video and PDF files. It answers in text only.
Where you can use it
You can find it in the Gemini app, in Google's AI Mode in search, in Google AI Studio, and in Gemini for business. Developers can also use it through Google's Gemini API.
What Google claims
Google says it is built for coding, for business work like legal and finance, and for security defense. In Google's own comparison, it leads on many tests and trails rivals on others. For example, on one coding test, Claude Opus 5.5 scored higher. These are Google's own numbers.
The limits Google lists
- It can still make things up.
- It can sometimes be slow or time out.
- Its knowledge ends at March 2026.
- It cannot make images or sound, and it does not support Google's live voice feature.
Google also says it cannot rule out certain high-risk uses, so it added safeguards.
About price
The pages we read did not list a price, so we are not quoting one.
What this means for you
Use AI answers as a first draft. Check facts, names and numbers before you post or send them. A faster, smarter model still gets things wrong sometimes.
